Penny Dreadful
New TV series, Penny Dreadful, has kicked off in Ardmore Studios in Bray, County Wicklow.
Produced by Sam Mendes, the first 2 episodes are directed by J.A. Bayona for US TV station Showtime, with Sky Atlantic as co-producer. Penny Dreadful stars Timothy Dalton, Eva Green, Billie Piper and Josh Hartnett, the story has some of literature’s most famously terrifying characters, including Victor Frankenstein, Frankenstein’s monster, Dorian Gray, and Count Dracula, as they grapple with their monstrous alienation in Victorian London.
Stunt Guild Ireland’s Aoife Byrne, Conor Hegarty, Eimear O’Grady, Marc Redmond, Peter Dillon and Stav Dvorkin have been involved at this early stage, working with stunt coordinator Pete Miles.
